Jalapeños are plump and stubby chillies, like fat fingers. They have shiny skins and a piquant, grassy flavour. They are best known and commonly used chilli in Mexican food. While you often find them pickled in jars and cans in a plain brine, this product consists of whole jalapeño peppers pickled in vinegar and olive oil (escabeche) with onions, carrots and a variety of herbs and spices. The extra brining ingredients give a juicier and more flavourful product.

Great to use for chilli poppers- where chillies are basted in a batter and then deep fried. Jalapeños are widely used in salsas, salads, dips and stews.

Hector and Gaby, moved to South Africa during the late 90’s. Shortly thereafter, they had the vision of locally manufacturing authentic Mexican food products for the SA market.
