Wild Peacock Products (PTY) Ltd was established in 1991 as a family business based purely out of a love for fine foods, in particular quality oysters. It developed further over the years with a back-bone of valuable relationships with customers, suppliers and strategic partners. The company today remains family-run by Sue Baker and her son Ross Baker as Managing Directors with a very hands-on philosophy in order to get as close to the client and producer as possible. Today the primary philosophy is to source products based on sustainability, ethical company structures and long-term relationship building. The South African food scene has grown at a rapid pace over the past 10 years, already on an international level. Our aim is to support the local growing hospitality industry by supplying Fine Foods, Fine Quality, and Fine Service!

Our distribution facilities consist of a multi-temp storage and packing facility with a range of refrigerated vehicles delivering 6 days a week within the Western Cape of South Africa. For the rest of the country we use third party distributors and couriers to get our products to the outlying parts.
In 2010, the Wild Peacock Food Emporium (Winner of the 2013 Eat Out Produce Award for Outstanding Outlet in the South) was born in Stellenbosch as a retail outlet in order to supply and accommodate members of the public and allow them to purchase our range of fine foods. The shop has a large wine selection, deli and food selection as well as hosting a full restaurant facility as well as accommodating for outside catering.
